Life in a nutshell

I have a simple idea of how to live my life- like it's my last day on earth, to not care what anyone thinks of me or my choices and to just go for it! But, why on earth does it seem  so hard to live by those ideas? I am constantly thinking "what if", "what will he/she think "? I am always wondering about other peoples lives and how much happier they seem.... but the grass is always greener on the other side. I really could be in a very horrible situation than what I am today.

I live a great life I have two great parents, siblings and a great hubster and daughter. I have a brand new home and am able to afford the mortgage. Oh yea, I have a job too ( you know where my job can go). There are things I want to achieve and my personality won't let me stop trying and I'm pretty determined and it gets me down at times but overall I'm good.

Now if I could just win the lotto:-)

Baby Z's hair

I grew up with 2 older sisters and the oldest mainly did my hair as a kid. So basically, my relationship with hair is very minimal I can comb it brush it and that is pretty much it lol. I cannot braid, cornrow or even flatiron to save my life. But now I have a daughter.... oh yea did I mention I have really thick shoulder length hair but as a child I had hair so long I was called a bushwhack ( then I got a relaxer and it was all gone) but that's a whole different topic. But, did I mention baby Zs hair is starting to grow like a weed?

I'm really trying to learn about her hair and make sure I don't make the same mistakes I did with mine. Keeping harsh chemicals out of it, and learning how to braid ( this one is really testing my patience) but I know I will get it. I must be doing something right if it's growing. I will have to post a pic of baby Z, she is a real HAM! She keeps me on my toes, I swear if I don't lose some of this baby weight running after her there is really something wrong.

Freakin childcare

I'd rather be a stay at home mom than continue to pay for childcare . Again for the 2nd time in a month childcare is going up but this time over $100 for 3 days ....yea 3 days! Yea I know it may be less than what others pay but come on! I send my child to childcare at my job, it's like I'm giving them my hard earned money back.

The hubster and I will probably take her out of childcare since I work nights and put her in a mommy and me class on my days off . You know for the interaction, sure beats $200 being taken out of my pay! Maybe if they actually taught them a little something I'd pay that much .

I have finally decided to get on the blog wagon! I'm tifyip born in raised in good 'ol surburban Michigan. I've lived a pretty good life by the way:-) Now, I live in big city Florida with the hubster and baby Z hubster is a big city Michigander and his life and parenting style sure are different than how I've been raised. You'll read about some of my life moments and compromises as we take on the big city. I'm on the countdown to deliver my 2nd child in November and I will be staying at home with baby Z and number 2. I'm trying to get financially and mentally prepared for this change in or lives. Oh yea, and the single income :-0
